Webster Technique
The Webster technique was developed by the late Dr. Larry Webster, DC. Dr. Webster was the founder of what is today known as the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Dr. Webster developed the technique to address what he called “intrauterine constraint”.
Webster Technique is a technique that reduces the stresses being applied to the mother’s uterus. By reducing the stresses to the mother’s uterus, the baby would be given more room to move into the proper head down position on his own.
Intrauterine constraint arises from abnormal forces and stresses being applied to the uterus. Intrauterine constraint occurs from misalignment of sacrum and innominate bones (large hip bones), the broad and round ligaments, and surrounding fascia and musculature.
