The Health and Wellness Center accepts most PPO insurances, however we DO NOT accept any HMO or Medi-Cal insurances.

How We Bill

When you visit The Health and Wellness Center, we will FIRST send a bill to your insurance company for your visit and procedures. For any costs that your insurance company does not cover, we will send a bill to you for the remainder of the charges. We do not bill the patient until the bill from the insurance company has been processed. We encourage patients to save and read the explanation of benefits (EOB) from their insurance company, and compare it to our bill. Sometimes insurance companies make mistakes, and are often not in the patients' favor. We are registered with all plans which allow patients to access copies of their EOBs and service on line from their insurance company website.

Patients are responsible to pay all bills from Beach Cities Orthopedics & Sports Medicine within 14 days of the billing date. Please be aware, patients are responsible for the terms and provisions of their individual insurance plan.

Please note that patients may be asked to make a payment at the time of service in certain circumstances, including when they do not have insurance coverage, when services are not covered by their insurance plan, or when they have not yet met their deductible.
