Julia Moen, DC, CCSP, FRCms

Dr. Julia Moen is one of 5 children born into a family of Medical Doctors. She is originally from Chicago and received her undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine and Exercise Physiology. In undergraduate school, she was an athletic trainer and worked alongside all the sports teams. Dr. Julia was an All-American field hockey player and captain of her team in college.

Prior to attending Chiropractic School, Dr. Julia volunteered in medical clinics in Bangladesh and Ecuador where she received hands on experience in medicine. She has experience working in physical therapy departments, aquatics and on land as well as an orthopedic surgeon’s assistant who specialized in knees and shoulders.

For graduate school, Dr. Julia attended Cleveland Chiropractic College of Los Angeles. Dr. Julia was in Sports Council, a member of the Student Hearing Board, and a Student Council Officer. Also, while in school, she worked and traveled with the semi-pro football team, the Long Beach Lions, as their team intern doctor.

Dr. Julia furthered her education after Chiropractic School and became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP) and specializes in all athletic injuries, prevention, and pre- and post-operational rehabilitation. She has worked with numerous professional athletes and local teams. She is certified and taken various specialty techniques such as; fascial manipulation, functional range conditioning, Graston, FAKTR, Neuro-kinetic therapy, Integrative kinetic therapy, Dynamic neuromuscular stabilization, functional medicine, and various women health coursework.

After Dr. Julia gave birth to her first child in 2016, she realized there was a need for optimal pre- and postnatal care in the United States, so she went on to specialize in Pregnancy and Pediatrics. She is Webster certified, a Birthfit Professional, and certified pre and post partum exercise specialist. Dr. Julia worked with a non-profit company that treated children with sensory processing disorders. She works in collaboration with local OBs, midwifes, doulas, and pelvic floor experts creating optimal birthing experience, and pre- and postpartum care. Dr. Julia is Vjota certified with a strong background in Dynamic Neuromuscular stabilization. She gives extremely individualized treatments and uses various modalities at her practice from manual therapy techniques, neurotherapy and lymphatic equipment, and individualized rehabilitation. Dr. Julia also is a published author and loves both teaching students and learning the latest treatment protocols at weekend seminars.
